Bachelor in Pharmacy
B Pharmacy or Bachelor in Pharmacy is a four-year undergraduate degree course in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), it is one of the favorite job-oriented courses among students of science stream.
A student of B Pharm learns about preparing medicines, their chemical and organic properties, effects on the human body, and dispensing of the right medication for a particular disease.

Eligibility :
All the aspiring candidates must fulfill the below eligibility criteria to take admission in this course:
• Pass 10 + 2 examinations in Science Stream from a recognized University or Board
• Score a minimum of 50% marks (45% for the reserved category) in 10 + 2 examination
• Diploma holders in Pharmacy can directly gain admission in the 2nd Year of B Pharma course after qualifying the requisite entrance examination. For such lateral entry, the candidate must have 50% aggregate in the First and Second Year of D. Pharma.

PHARM D.
Doctor of Pharmacy
Pharm D. is a doctorate level course in Pharmacy introduced by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) to train the students in diagnosis and treatment of diseases, selection of the right drug for a disease, and monitoring of the patient’s health.
Pharm D degree can be achieved in 2 ways.
Pharm D (Doctor of Pharmacy)
• Duration: 6 Years
• Curriculum: As per Pharmacy Council of India and the respective University of study.
Eligibility :
For admission into Doctor of Pharmacy, an aspiring candidate should:
- Complete the age of 17 years by 31st December of the year of admission
- Pass 10 + 2 examinations in the Science stream from a recognized University or Board
- Score a minimum of 45% marks (40% for reserved category) in 10 + 2 examination
- Candidates with a Diploma certificate in Pharmacy can also take admission in this course.
There are selective Pharmacy Colleges in Bangalore which offer Pharm D. as a course. Pharm D. course generally has very few seats per college.
Pharm D (Post Baccalaureate)
• Duration: 3 years
• Curriculum: As per Pharmacy Council of India and the respective University of study.
Eligibility :
- Candidates who possess a B. Pharma Degree from an institute recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India can take admission in the Post Baccalaureate course.
M.PHARM
Master in Pharmacy
M Pharmacy or Masters in Pharmacy is a two-year postgraduate course that gives practical training to the students on methodologies of research, instruments, emerging areas, and operations in the Pharmaceutical industry.
- Duration: 2 years
- Curriculum: As per Pharmacy Council of India and the respective University of study.
Eligibility :
- Candidates who possess a B Pharma degree from a recognized University or Institute are eligible to take admission in this postgraduate course.
- Candidates should qualify an All India Entrance Examination, GPAT to secure admission in M Pharma, or PGCET(M.Pharm & Pharm-D (PB) ) if they wish to study in Karnataka.

D. PHARM
Diploma in Pharmacy
D. Pharmacy or Diploma in Pharmacy is a two-year undergraduate course to train the students in the basic concepts of Pharmaceutical Science. The course is recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI).
